Cars 3 x ILLEST Collab
Objective
Collaborate, conceptualize, and design a collection of apparel, head wear, and accessories for Disney / Pixar's animated film CARS 3. The collection will be debuted along side with other popular brands at Disney / Pixar's Cars 3 Fashion Pit Stop pop-up shop at Sportie LA in Los Angeles, California.
Approach
This collaboration is special as it has given us the opportunity to collaborate with a big name like Disney / Pixar. In addition, CARS series hits close to our hearts as it stand by its automotive and motorsports roots much like ILLEST.
It was almost second nature to us creating this collection. We were given a library of assets to work with. At the same time, we were free to do as we pleased as long as we strictly followed Disney / Pixar's branding guidelines. As the protagonist of the story, we've focused our efforts to have the collection revolve around McQueen. Combined with ILLEST's simple street wear approach, we were able to create a compelling collection that brought ILLEST's and CARS 3's fans together.
